A question from Maria Dobbins
Hi Frank,
I am just reading your book. I am also from an Italian family so I can surly relate to what your life was like growing up. I am laughing and crying reading your book. I hope you will write another book. I am really enjoying this one and I don't want it to end so I am reading each page twice.
Good luck to you Frank,
Maria Dobbins (don't let the last name fool you, I am 100% Italian )
I want to post your "question," because it captures exactly what I wanted a reader to take away from the book. But since there's no answer to be given, let me say this: there are so many of us, who have been raised with a love of food, and then have had that love take control of us and carry us away. I'm guessing that's you, too. But even if not so, I love it that the portrait of food in an ethnic immigrant family resonates. Thank you for reading the book. Thank you for writing in to this web site. So appreciated,
Frank
